SAN JOSE, Calif., March 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — POET Technologies Inc. (‘POET’ or the ‘Company’) (NASDAQ: POET), a frontrunner in the design and implementation of integrated optical engines and light sources tailored for artificial intelligence networks, has announced its intention to conduct live demonstrations of its leading external light source (ELS) products at the upcoming Optical Fiber Communications (OFC) Conference. This prestigious event will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from March 16-19, 2026.
During the exhibition, POET’s executive management team and engineers will engage with customers and industry analysts at Booth No. 339.
Showcasing Innovative Products
The demonstrations will feature the following groundbreaking products:
- POET Blazarâ„¢: This pioneering ELS solution is a highly integrated hybrid laser that embodies the Company’s commitment to the ‘semiconductorization of photonics’. Designed to support both co-packaged optics (CPO) and high-bandwidth, chip-to-chip, light-based data communications links, Blazar has significantly evolved since its initial presentation in private meetings at last year’s OFC Conference. The high-power, multi-channel light source serves as a compelling alternative to traditional DFB laser-based solutions. Its wafer-level chip-scale technology substantially reduces the cost of the light source, enhances scalability and reliability, and optimises the effective supply of Indium Phosphide.
- POET Starlightâ„¢: The next generation of POET’s first ELS solution will also be unveiled alongside Blazar. The Starlight demonstration will highlight a compact engine solution featuring eight-channel high-power lasers at multiple wavelengths. This will be integrated into a working optical engine to illustrate its commercial applicability to the industry-standard ELSFP module.
Industry Impact and Recognition
POET’s advancements are timely, as there is a growing demand for enhanced computing power for AI applications. Raju Kankipati, POET’s Chief Revenue Officer, has noted, “Starlight is gaining traction in the industry because of the large demand for more compute power for AI applications. We are excited to reveal the advancements we have made to our latest version of Starlight that achieves advanced packaging and lower cost needed for chip-to-chip data communication links.”
In addition to the product demonstrations, POET representatives will attend a ceremony to accept the Elite Score award at the Lightwave Innovations Reviews reception, scheduled for March 16. This recognition was awarded for the POET Teralightâ„¢, the Company’s acclaimed line of 1.6Tbps transmit and receive optical engines. The Lightwave Innovation Reviews recently announced that POET Teralight received an impressive score of 4.5, one of the highest among the winning entries.
POET Technologies continues to position itself as a leader in the photonics industry, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and the development of solutions that meet the growing needs of AI connectivity and data communication.
