Danish biotechnology firm Bavarian Nordic has put forward a proposal for the re-election of four existing board members, alongside the appointment of three new directors, in anticipation of its annual general meeting scheduled for April 21.
As part of this restructuring, Montse Montaner is set to step down from the board. The nominations for new board members include Charl van Zyl, Hans Martin Smith, and Svend Andersen. In addition, a shareholder has nominated Lars Wismann for a board position, although this proposal has not received the backing of the board.
Svend Andersen boasts a wealth of experience, having held executive roles at various companies, including Perrigo. He is also currently a member of the board of the Lundbeck Foundation. Charl van Zyl, who previously served as Head of Neurology & EU/International Markets at UCB Biopharm, is presently the CEO of Lundbeck. Hans Martin Smith, known for his tenure as CFO of Vestas, is now the CEO of VKR Holding and holds a position on the board of Schouw & Co.
