On March 13, leaders from Taiwan and Arizona formalised a significant collaboration by signing a six-party memorandum of understanding in Tucson. This agreement aims to unite academia, government, and industry to advance research in semiconductor technologies, optics, and photonics.

The signing ceremony took place at the historic Pima County Courthouse, attended by a delegation led by Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai, alongside university officials, local leaders, and industry representatives.
